"One of Linda's greatest gifts as a teacher and mentor is that, rather than imposing her own style or philosophy on her students, she is committed to helping them find their own voices.  She is like a midwife to the artist; bearing witness, providing encouragement and useful information throughout the creative process.  Linda also has the skill of shifting language so that doors seem to open where there were walls before.  She holds the belief that the skill and resources are innate to her students.  Because she is invested in sharing power, she is capable of standing aside so that her students can take space and claim their work."
